We bear witness to Ariadne’s Chilli Ritual- one that is performed every time she endures pain that leaves her inexplicably human. When she’s burning that much, she can’t discern where her frustration ends and her pain begins. With every bite of a chilli, she is flooded with images that pertain to memory, to feelings, to imagination. Enter duality.
